A woman came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find her 5-year old son waiting for her at the door.

SON: 'Mummy, may I ask you a question?'

MUM: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the woman.

SON: 'Mummy, how much do you make an hour?'

MUM: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the woman said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Mummy, may I please borrow D25?'

The mother was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door..

The woman sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the woman had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that D25.00 and she really didn't ask for money very often.The woman went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' She asked.

'No Mummy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the woman. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the D25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you Mummy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The woman saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his mother.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the mother grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Mummy, I have D50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'  

The mother was crushed. She put his arms around her little son, and she begged for his forgiveness.  

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that D50 worth of your time with someone you love.  

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

THE HUMAN MIND

Human mind. There is nothing more complex than this. Everything related to human had been studied in great detail and so has the human mind too. Though the human mind was subjected to study only recently, in the twentieth century, much has been done to delve deep into it, and explore the various fragments of it. Sigmund Freud came up with an entirely new scientific stream of study of human mind, where he divided the human mind into three parts, viz, “Id”, “Ego”, and “Superego”. This theory and a series of theories that followed enabled the psychologists to understand one’s character by analyzing the different parts of human mind, i.e. “Id”, “Ego” and “Superego.

Though Sigmund Freud called human mind as “clamorous” in one of his essays, this analysis has to take a different turn by considering human mind as, basically, “good”. Though these two arguments are in loggerheads with each other, both are correct if explained under their own respective contexts.

The universally accepted fact, that man is  a social animal, itself is enough to prove that all human beings have a “good” mind. The adjective used here, “good” is ambiguous in its meaning; but can very well explain human mind as something which can sympathize as well as empathize with each others’ worries and miseries. And, it is this quality of human mind which makes a man a social animal. The qualities that make the human mind “good” are not limited with just empathising and sympathizing. It is also the abilities to take care of, share with and nurse others, which makes a human mind “good”.

Mother Teresa and Jesus Christ are two of the greatest personifications of Love and Kindness. They sacrificed their own pleasures of life, and lived for the goodness and well-being of others. These kind of actions call for a great level of bravery, determination and selflessness. MATHEMATICS

Mr M was doing his maths homework.

He said to himself, “Two plus five, the son of a b!tch is seven.
Three plus six, the son of a b!tch is nine…”

His mother heard what he was saying and gasped,
“What are you doing?”

 Mr M answered, “I’m doing my maths homework, Mom.”

“And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?” the mother asked.

“Yes,” he answered.

Infuriated, the mother asked the teacher the next day,
“What are you teaching my son in maths?”

The teacher replied, “Right now, we are learning addition.”

The mother asked, “And are you teaching them to say two plus
two, the Son Of a b!tch is four?”

After the teacher stopped laughing, she answered,

“What I taught Them was, two plus two, THE SUM OF WHICH,
is four.”

RESULT

Mr M: “How should I convey the news to my father that I’ve failed?” 
Mr K: “You just send a telegram: Result declared, past year’s performance repeated”.
